French Songs in Lombok ‘Sasak’ Style

In March 2011, six of our trainees (music teachers) from the Island of Lombok participated in an interesting cross-cultural project: songs of the French chanson singer George Brassens.

Approximately 35 children from the French International School in Cangu, Bali rehearsed 3 songs of George Brassens. The young musicians from Lombok accompanied the kids in traditional Lombok (‘Sasak’) style.
